One trend from the Men’s Fashion Weeks that you might have taken note of was the constant over-sized tartan and plaid trend from brands like Ralph Lauren, Versace and DSquared2. When you think of Britain and its famous characters (James Bond, Sherlock Holmes), plaid isn’t necessarily the first thing that comes to mind, but go window shopping and look at what the every day man is wearing there and you’ll have a change of heart. I paid homage to the trend by wearing a tartan tie in this look that I shot at the time of the fashion weeks in January. Doesn’t it look so well with velvet worn casually? It’ll probably look even better on you.
