We will like to take the time to connect with you on a more personal level, so , we both will be leaving you a note on some of the life lessons 2018 has taught us and some of our goals and aspirations for the coming new year. Have a merry christmas and smile filled new year.
Note from Eka
2018 has been a year of learning. Both academia, family, business wise and even emotional learning too.
2018 taught me that to get something, anything in life you need to work smart than hard.
2018 taught me that investing now is that best way to ensure your finances are in order. Life cannot always be a day to day event, planning is very important be it a day planning or future planning, it is the one simple action that changes the course of your life.
2018 taught me to hold my own. Don’t ever let someone tell you can’t do something even if it seems impossible, even if it kills you. As far as it is your dream. Them saying you can’t is them trying to project their fears and failures on you, the moment you take that and ride with that, you will never be able to accomplish your dreams.
2018 taught me that doing what I love is the main goal. Doing what you love is better that settling for less, there is no way that doing what you love would not and cannot be profitable plus you have more fun.
2018 taught me that family is the plug. Friends, business partners, and other things would pass away but family come moon sunshine rain or even the bloody apocalypse, family is the rock . GOAT,MVP.
2018 also taught me that whatever is worth doing is worth doing well esp when it comes to school.
I want 2019 to go better than 2018, putting everything I have learnt into action.
2019 should teach me patience, love, joy, genuine happiness and much more , can’t wait to see what I learn
NOTE FROM OCHUWA
I have been forcefully made to go through the process of rediscovering myself this year. It was like life kept giving me situations where I had no other option but to rapidly adapt and grow from them. My faith was tried and tested a lot this year and this has reminded me that the road to success is not paved with gold, there will be rocky grounds so you always have to wear the shoes of the gospel. Eager to knock down every obstacle.
For me, 2018 was all about the experience! truth is that is all we really have when you think about. You work so hard for that dream and forget to enjoy the process. It might not always be pleasant but there’s always a lesson learnt, leavin you better equipped for the next stage. I am learning . to enjoy the process.
Particularly, this year has made me more aware of my weaknesses or flaws. They say once you’ve acknowledged your flaws no one can use them against you. I am not only learning to acknowledge them but making efforts to gradually turn them into strengths.
keep learning and keep growing, I have always been the one to settle once i’ve understood the basics but the truth is learning never stops. It is important to keep pushing yourself, in whatever area or field you’re in. Growth not only gives you this added confidence, it helps you instill confidence in others as well.
I am most definitely hopeful for what 2019 has in store, I intend to embark on some personal growth and training exercises, one of them is to practice accountability. I shied away from being brutally honest with myself and this led to not taking responsibility for some of my actions. I am excited for this new chapter and Thank you for riding with me.
